Review Monday- Mac Fix+

Hey Pretty Ladies,

Hope you all are doing great. Another week is ahead of us and its review Monday again. This week I will be reviewing Mac Fix+, from my haul from Saudi Arabia if you want to check that out click here . Well ive never owned any mac products until recently, since mac is expensive in Malaysia & Saudi Arabia, So I did a lot of research before deciding what I was going to get and Mac Fix+ was one of the few products that i picked up.

So lets get on with the review and see if Mac Fix+ does what it's supposed to & is it worth buying...

For those of who don't know what Mac Fix+ is, it is a skin refresher & a finishing spray. It has a soothing moisture mist that refreshes the skin and finishes the make up.

The Packaging

I love the packaging, the bottle comes with a spray nozzle which can be twisted into a locked position and i take this with me to uni and hasn't leaked. And the top can be twisted off in case you want to transfer the product into a different bottle.

    The top

The Ingredients

Water,Glycerin(Moisture retention), Butylene Alcohol,Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber for anti inflammatory properties), Fruit Extract,Chamomilla Recutita Extract (To Calm and Sooth skin), Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (Antibacterial properties), Tocopheryl Acetate (Heals the skin),Caffeine (Simple plain caffeine), Panthenol,Arginine,PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil,PPG-26-Buteth-26,Fragrance,Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol.

The Review

What Mac say's:
An aqua-spritz of vitamin and minerals, infused with a calm-the-skin blend of green tea, chamomile, cucumber, topped off with the fresh, natural, energizing scent of Sugi. Adds radiance, finishes make-up. Spray it on. Skin drinks it up.

MY Review:

When i first prayed Fix+ didn't like the smell, it smelled like a floral sent but after the second spray i couldn't get enough of it. It felt so fresh and refreshing, i am actually addicted to it now.

The mist from the bottle is very fine and soothing, although when sprayed up close your face becomes sticky, not sure why but i suggest spraying it about 12" away from your face since this distributes the product evenly.

OK here is the thing this works perfectly as a skin refresher, but not so much as a setting spray. But this product is perfect to Spritz on if you think you have over powdered, what this does is it gets rid of the excess powder so you don't look cakey. What i do is i spray fix+ on a cosmetic sponge and dab my foundation all over, this give you a flawless finish.

Now coming to the factor of if this product is worth the money. Well if it worked as a finishing spray i would say yes, but just as a skin refresher not so much, i could just buy avene spring water for just 17 bucks instead of spending 76 bucks on the same thing from mac. Although fix+ is a multipurpose product, it is a luxury everyone cant afford.

How i use fix+

- I spray this as a moisturizer before applying my foundation, what this does is since fix+ contains glycerin which has moisture retaining properties, it keeps moisture trapped in the skin and helps to keep your face moisturized all day long. I have oily skin and it does not make my face look oily.

- As a skin refresher.

- As a toner if you have dry skin this is perfect. Its great for oily skin as well.

- I spritz this on after applying powder to get rid of cakeyness.

- I use this on a cosmetic sponge to apply my foundation.

- I use this as a mixing medium for loose pigments for easy application and gives the pigment a creamy texture

- When i use this with some shimmer eye shadows it give it that extra metallic effect.

- When i feel as though my skin looks cakey in the afternoon I spritz this all over and re apply my foundation or powder foundation.

Extra info

- Its good for people who suffer from Rosacea, Eczema or dry dehydrated skin as many contain calming ingredients.

- Don’t spray fix+ directly into your eye shadow or foundation when the product dries the surface becomes hard and it will be prone to bacterial contamination.

In a nutshell

Pros:

- Great as a skin refresher
- can be used with foundation for a flawless finish
- can be used as a toner
- can be used to get rid of cakeyness
- as a mixing medium for pigments
- great for people with dry skin

Cons-

- Cant be used as a setting spray
- The price

I would rate this product 8/10

And i would re purchase this again and i would recommend this product to everyone. But if your looking for a finishing spray this is not the product for you.

Price: 76 RM/ SAR

Quantity: 100 ML/3.4 US FL OZ

Tips & Tricks Thursday- Stronger Nails

Hi loves,

Hope you all are doing great. I cant believe another week is coming to an end. This weeks tips & tricks i will be talking about how to get stronger nails by using garlic, yes you read right garlic for stronger nails.

Garlic is very handy and it can be used in many recipes. Its a great antioxidant and if taken for long period it is said to reduce cholesterol.

So the way to achieve strong finger nails is to add garlic, regularly to your food, its that simple. You would see a difference in your nails within a month. I used to have brittle thin nail and since ive added garlic to my meals my nails have drastically changed.

Another way to achieve strong nails, is to chop garlic and put it in your nail polish or your top coat and let it sit for about a week and your polish or top coat has become a strengthener.

If you done wear polish you can just apply the juice of the polish on to your nails everyday.

What do you think of this weeks tips & tricks Thursday? Was it helpful? Let me know in the comments below. If you liked this post be sure to share if using the links below.

My Wish List

Hi loves,

The will be no tutorial today i will be uploading it tomorrow, so today i thought i would write my wish list of make up that i would love to own someday. There is always something in the market that is interesting or exciting but you always end up emptying out your wallet, so its better to make a wish list and save up.

so let me share my list with you

1. Inglot Power Of Matte pallets

2. Real Techniques Complete Brush Set.

3. Beauty Blender

4. Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eye shadow

5. l'oreal infallible eyeshadow

6. Inglot Rainbow Eye shadows

7. Make up forever HD foundation

8. Urban Decay setting spray

9. Urban Decay eye shadows

Well this is my list, I know its long and i want to expand my make up collection and it is going to be expensive but it requires a lot of saving up since here in Malaysia every thing is 3 times the actual price, which sucks..

DIY Make-Up Storage

Hi loves,

Hope you all are doing great. Today i have an easy DIY make-up storage, its simple and can fit into drawers and you can take it with you when you travel.

Things you will need:

- A cloth pouch
- few pieces of sturdy card

1. Take any cloth pouch you have laying around.

2. Unzip the pouch & and fold it to your desired height.

3. Then take a sturdy card and cut it, this will be the base for your pouch, I cut mine 10 cm height and 20 cm in length.

4. Check if it fits and place it at the bottom.

5. Check to see if you like the shape of the pouch

6. Then cut up strips for partitions.

7. Then arrange your make up the way you like. I've stored eye shadows, foundations and small pallets

And wolla you have your very own make-up storage. This would be perfect if your staying in dorms, or have very little space to store your make up. And also if you add sturdy card to the sides you can zip up the pouch and its ready for travel.

What did you think of this DIY project? Did you find it helpful? Let me know what you think in the comments below. Also let me know what you do to organise your make up. Hope you enjoyed this easy to do project.

Until next time....

Review Monday- TRUE COLOR Eyeshadow Quad In Purple Haze

hi loves,

Hope you all are having a lovely Monday. This week i will be reviewing TRUE COLOUR Eye shadow Quad In Purple Haze. I got this when pallet when i was in Saudi Arabia, if you want to check out my haul click here

So lets get on with the review,

My thoughts

The quad comes in a beautiful black case and has a mirror and a sponge tip applicator, also its perfect for travel since its small and the case is sturdy. The quad comes with four coordinating colours, a pale silvery pink, lilac, a deep purple and a charcoal grey in round pans which you can use to create day or night look.

They go on silky smooth, the shadows are very pigmented and is buildable and can be blended really easily. The colours are deep and great for a smoky eye. Although the lightest colours kind of look sickly on darker skin tones unless you wear them properly. I wore this wore this quad for about 10 hours and i have fairly oily lids and the colours did not crease or fade, which makes them long wearing.

In a nutshell:

Pros
- glides on easily
- very pigmented
- bendable
- easy to travel with
- Long wearing
- does not crease
- buildable
- does not fade

Cons
- the lighter colours might look sickly on dark skin tones

I would rate this product 10/10

I would recommend everyone to buy these pallets, i know i certainly will buy the other quads.

This quad retails for about Rm 28 / SAR 30

what do you guys think of this weeks review? Have you tried any of the avon quads? What do you think of it? Let me know what you think in the comments below. If you liked this post be sure to share it the lins are below.

Also i will be doing a tutorial using this quad on wednesday. Let me know what colour combination you would like to see using this quad for up comming tutorials.
