Tips & Tricks Thursday

Hey there,

                Its tips and tricks Thursday,this week's tip is so helpful for oily skin, and even if you dont have oily skin you could do this as well.

I unfortunately have oily skin and my foundation does not last long. So what i do is right after i apply my foundation i take a one ply tissue peel it apart and pat it on my face gently, what this does is it blots off excess product and oil, the apply your powder and do the same with the one ply tissue. This helps your foundation and powder last longer.

So what do you guys think of this weeks Tips & Tricks Thursday? Did you think today's trick is useful? Let me know in the comments below.. If you liked this post why not share it, the links are below.

What's on my eye Wednesday ( Green Envy )

Hi there,

             Today's tutorial bright with a bit of shimmer. This tutorial is super easy. So lets get on with it.

1. Always start with priming your lids, to prevent your look from creasing.

2. Add a matte black base all over your lids, using a flat shader brush/ blending brush, and blend it out till your crease. You could use a gel eye-liner or a pencil if you have one.

3. Then using a flat shader brush apply Elianto Jewellery green or any matte green on top of the black base and blend it our till your crease.

4. After everything is blended out apply a shimmering green on to your lids, i choose to use a shadow stick, but you can use an eye shadow instead.

5. Then apply your eye-liner really close to the lash line, you can wing it out if you want to.

6. Apply your favourite mascara.

7. And apply your favourite bronzer and blush. I am not wearing any though.

8. Apply a nude or a light pink lipstick, since this look is bold.

9. Apply your other make up as usual.

Products i used:

* Golden Lady Black Base
* Elianto Eye shadow in Jewellery Green
* Golden Lady Green Base
* Collection 2000 eye liner
* Essence No Limits Mascara

So what do you guys think of this weeks tutorial? Would you wear this look for spring/ Summer? Let me know in the comments below.. If you liked this post why not share it the links are below...

Nail Attack Tuesday ( Elianto Dodger Blue )

hello my lovelies,

                          Since it spring time or for some they are heading towards spring its time to bring out our fun bright colours and play. For this week ive chosen a bright blue polish from Elianto called Dodger Blue. This polish was a bit sheer with just one coat but the problem was solved after applying two coats. I think this colour will appear more brighter when applied with a white base.

You can check out Elianto' s website for more details.

What do you guys think of this weeks nail attack? What are your favourite spring colours? Let me know in the comments below.. If you liked reading my post, why not share it the links are below.

Review Monday- Essence No Limits volume mascara

Hi again,

              Its review Monday again. This week i will be reviewing Essence No Limit Mascara (Volume Power Boost). If you want to check out my mascara haul click here. Lately ive been addicted to Essence Products. If you don't know about Essence, its well known European brand, and this brand promises good quality products that would fit even the tightest budget. And what i love about this brand is that its strictly against animal testing.

This is what the tube looks like. This is a special edition mascara that has been formulated with two other mascaras No limit and Power boost and it is supposed to give you unbeatable length, volume and lift at the same time.

Essence No limits power boost has an extra large brush that will give your eyelashes volume and length. I actually love the brush and the way it applies.

     My lashes without any mascara.

                 My lashes after applying Essence No Limits <power boost> volume mascara

My thoughts:

I actually love the mascara wand and the product glides on perfectly. Above is the pictures of my lashes with two coats of mascara. As claimed the mascara it did lengthen add volume and curl my lashes. Although i can feel the mascara on my lashes, when i blink, it doesn't bother me that much, as it gets better after a couple of minutes. But i still love this mascara. This mascara lasts the whole day, and the curl does stay in place. I did take a shower with this mascara on it didn't come off until i rubbed my eyes.

The tube contains 0.23 fl.oz/ 7 ml of product..

I rate this product 8/10

In a nutshell:

Pros

* Glides on easily
* It lengthens adds volume and curls
* Stays on the whole day
* Doesn't come off until you take it off

Cons

* The mascara can be felt on the lashes

Price & Availability:

This product retails for Rm 11.90 and can be found at Watson's and you can check out Essence for more details

What do you think of this weeks review? Have you tried anything from essence? or is it your first time finding out this brand? Let me know in the comments below. If you liked this post be sure to share it the links are below.

Review ( Blending Brushes )

Hello again,

              Hope you ladies are doing fine? At least better than i am i hope, i got the flu and i have class at 9 in the morning, what a bummer.

Today i wanted to do a review on really affordable blending brushes, i found at the drug store.

The product comes in a plastic packaging, and im not sure what it says on there except for high quality powder brush.

The aluminium ferrule reminds me a lot of the real technique brushes. The ferrule it is extremely light weight, comfortable and easy to use.

These brushes are really soft against the skin. It fits perfect and snug on the crease and  blend's eye shadow like a dream.

I use the pink brush for blending eye shadow and the purple brush to apply concealer. I actually bought a purple one before and ive been using it for a couple of months now. That's why i decided to get two more. A girl can never have too many brushes right? I washed the brush once a week using olive oil and shampoo and it hasn't shed yet. Which is pretty impressive for a drug store make-up brush.

In a nutshell:

Pros

* Affordable
* super soft
* Blends eye shadow really well
* Doesn't shed
* Light weight
* can be used with cream and powder products

Cons

None

Price and Availability

This product retails for Rm 7.30 each and is available at Jusco Wellness.

So what do you think of today's review? Have you tried anything from this particular brand? or is it your first time reading about it? Let me know in the comments below.. If you liked this post be sure to share it the links are below. Until next time...

Tips & Tricks Thursday ( easy way to remove glitter nail polish)

Hi there loves,

                      I hate removing glitter nail polish, first, its so difficult to take off and it still leaves a bit of glitter particles. because of this i own only 1 glitter polish. But now ive found a way to remove the glitter polish without leaving any glitter behind.

Things you will be needing

* Nail polish remover
* cotton ball
* Foil

Start of with glitter nail polish

Then dip a cotton ball into nail polish remover and wrap it around your nail.

Then cover your nail with a foil and make sure its secure and leave it for few seconds.

Remove the foil and voila a clean nail

Its really simple and takes only a few seconds a nail.

So what do you guys think of this weeks Tips & Tricks Thursday? Did you think today's trick is useful? Let me know in the comments below.. If you liked this post why not share it, the links are below.

What's on my eye Wednesday ( Neons & Nudes)

Hey pretties,

                   Its that time of the week again, for this weeks what's on my eye i was inspired by Bobby browns, neons and nudes collection. This collection has a pallet called Ultra nude eye, which is like the Urban decay's naked pallet except urban decays eye pallet has 12 eye shadows  and ultra nude has 6.  Even though its limited edition i dont think its worth the money for 6 shades.

Ok so I will be doing my own take on the make up look using Urban decays naked. This look is pretty simple and extremely easy to achieve, and is perfect for upcoming spring.

Ok lets get started...

1. Always start with priming your lids to prevent your look from creasing.

2. Using a flat shader brush apply naked all over your lid

3. Then using a fluffy brush or a blending brush apply buck into your crease and blend.

4. Using an angled brush apply buck on to your lower lash line and smudge it.

5. Then apply your eye-liner really close to the lash line, you can wing it out if you want to.

6. Apply your favourite mascara.

7. And apply your favourite bronzer and light pink blush.

8. Then take a neon pink or orange, which ever colour suits you best and then apply it using a lip brush for precision and this helps the colour really stay on your lips. ( I used a neon pink and then added a muted pink on top)

9. Apply your other make up as usual.

                                                 The lip colours i used

Products Used:

* Elianto eye primer
* Urban decay eye shadows in naked and buck
* Eye liner from Daiso
* Lipstick on the left is Nyx Round lipstick in Paris
* Lipstick on the left unfortunately does not have a name i got it from a wholesale shop.

Nail Attack Tuesday (Elianto)

hello my lovelies,

                           Its nail attack Tuesday. I did a bit of a twist for this weeks nail attack, i layered nail polishes. I am wearing elianto nail polishes, I know all of my posts use elianto, let me explain why, well ever since i discovered this brand here in Malaysia i have been obsessed, with their eye-shadows, nail polishes and lip-gloss. Everything from their line is affordable, and i am all about saving money and buying products that are worth while. So to me Elianto is one of them.

I got these polishes for free, when i went to purchase some eye-shadows, i had to fill in a survey to get the nail polish. I know cool right.. I love free stuff.

Ok on with the nail attack. The two nail polishes ive chosen are Twilight Zone and Platinum Pearl. I first applied Twilight Zone and then layered Platinum Pearl on top.

 Twilight Zone

Platinum Pearl

I love all of the elianto polishes and i kinda have all of them, and they all apply perfectly. I am not sure if it was because i got this for free (just kidding), but Twilight Zone was really thick and a bit hard to apply. It slid to my skin and was a hard to get off, as you would see in the picture, i was unable to get it off from the edges. Platinum pearl applied as lovely as all of my other elianto nail polishes.

But i loved this look, and i might try this with a different black base though.

Check out Elianto for more information about their products.

What do you guys think of this combination? What other colours do you think would go with Platinum Pearl? Let me know in the comments below.. If you liked reading my post, why not share it.

Review Monday's (Avon Colour Trend Flirty Eyes)

Hi Lovelies,

                     Hope you ladies are doing great. First of i would like to say welcome to all of my new followers. Thank you for subscribing to my blog. Ok lovelies today i will be reviewing Avon Colour Trend Flirty Eyes in Coco Dreams & Bright Eyes. Click Here if you want to check out my Avon Haul.

Below is the product description from Avon.

Product Description

The prettiest shades in the prettiest case. A sparkling gel formula that glides on, without creasing. Includes applicator.

                                                                    BRIGHT EYES

                                                                     COCO DREAMS

My Review For Colour Trend Bright Eyes

Like i said in my haul when i first saw these, i told myself i had to have them. When i first tested   them the texture felt so smooth and buttery. The colours in this pallet apply lighter than they appear, although its easy to blend and build the colours up. Honestly I wouldn't use the two highlight colours, they are too shimmer for me, i prefer matte highlights. But i Love the blue and the purple shade. The colours in this quad last up to 4 hours, without applying any shadow on top.

                                                                  Bright Eyes Swatches

My Review For Colour Trend Coco Dreams

To me this quad is perfect i love all of the colours. The colours are amazing and i would wear them on a daily basis. The pigmentation is way better than the bright eyes quad. Its easy to blend and build the colours up.  And it last up to six hours without applying any shadow on top. Although  after six hours it does tend to fade around my crease. But i love this quad.

                                                           Swatches From Coco Dreams

In a nutshell:

Pros

* The colours are pigmented
* Easy to blend
* Last up to 4-6 hours
* Smooth and buttery texture

Cons

* Tends to crease after a few hours.
* The bright eyes quad apply lighter than they appear.

Price & Availability
These cost Rm 29/ Sar 30 & £5. You can purchase these quads from Avon Uk & Avon Arabia

I would recommend these quads to everyone.

So what do you guys think of the Avon Colour Trend Flirty Eyes quads? Have you tried any of the quads? let me know in the comments below what you think. If you liked my post be sure to share it. Until next time..
